Wreck Ends Rick Smith's Victory Hopes at
Mountain Speedway
(April 13, 2013)- Kyle Harvell set the quickest Late Model
time but Dave Brigati redrew the pole for the 30-lap Late
Model main. He led the first circuit over Harvell, Mitch
Hawk, Mark Tyson and Jim Lamoreaux.
 Rick
Smith cracked the top five when he got by Lamoreaux on lap
six and then the yellow waved with 12 laps complete.
The drivers were able to choose their restart lane and
Tyson, who ran fourth at the time, moved to second by
choosing the outside lane.
Brigati continued to set the pace on the final restart and
Harvell and Hawk moved by Tyson to advance their positions.
Although Harvell gave the leader a small shot on the final
lap, Brigati kept it straight to claim his first victory in
the division since 2011. Harvell, Hawk, Lamoreaux and Tyson
completed the top five.
